Recover deleted files on Mac
It is when we face a situation of data loss that we realize the importance of taking backups. Consider a situation in which you end up losing important files due to a virus attack or due to accidental deletion of the data. In such a scenario, a person who takes regular backup of all his data is likely to get less anxious than a person who has not taken proper backup of the data.
Avoiding further usage of the affected drive, once you realize that data loss has occurred is the first thing to do after data loss. This prevents further data loss and helps in avoiding permanent data erasure. This increases your chances of recovering the data. This is due to the fact that, the lesser the usage of the affected drive, more the chances of recovery. If the deleted files still exist in the Trash, they can be recovered easily by performing simple drag drop operation on the given file. But if you have emptied the trash, a Mac recovery software is essential to recover the deleted or lost files.

Follow the steps given below to install the software , and recover all your deleted files with ease.
Step 1: Start Mac Recovery Software application by clicking the desktop icon. The main screen of the software gets displayed as shown in Figure a.

Step 2: The different drives and volumes connected to the system get displayed as shown in Figure b. Pick the volume on which you want to perform data recovery, and click the Recover button.

Step 3: Clicking the Recover button, opens a new window which lists out all the different file types that can be recovered. You can select specifically the file type that you wish to recover, or alternatively click on the Select All button, to select all the file types, as shown in Figure c.

Step 4: After selection of file types is complete, click on the Next button. Clicking the Next button, starts the scanning process. The selected volume is scanned for lost/deleted files, and once the scanning is complete, the found files and folders are listed out in a tree format as shown in Figure d.

Step 5: Once the tree structure has been formed, the next step is to save the data onto a safe location. Select the files that you wish to save, or click the Root folder if you want to select all the files. Click the Save button.
Clicking the Save button opens a window that lets you select the destination drive,where the recovered data is to be saved. Select the destination drive where you want to save the recovered data, and click the Save button.
Clicking the Save button, saves the selected data onto the destination drive that was specified. The data that has been saved can be now accessed as before.
