Recover lost files on Mac - Mac File Recovery Software
The Mac OS comes pre-installed with every Macintosh computer that has been sold till date. It is the graphical user interface that makes the Mac different from other operating systems. Besides being a part of the standard equipment in a Mac computer, the OS is also sold in retail stores and online by Apple. The Mac OS makes use of two major file systems namely HFS+ and HFSX volumes.
The Hierarchical File System better known as HFS was the preferred file system, that was being used in older versions of Mac, like the Macintosh Plus and Mac OS 8.1. This was later replaced by the newer version namely HFS+. HFS+ later became very popular due to the advanced features it supported compared to the older HFS file system. It supported journaling, quotas, byte-range locking etc. The later version of HFS+ is the HFSX or the Hierarchical File System Extended file system which is being used in the present day Mac computers.
Loss of files is something that cannot be avoided in Mac. This is because, like any other operating system, Mac also gets affected by virus attacks, software failures, corruption of files, corruption of the metadata structure and malware. These reasons often lead to loss of files present on the hard drive, making it essential to take the help of a data recovery software to recover the lost files.
